i was thinking of the saying, " when you gain some, you lose some."

like, while i gained the tangible benefit of having free tuition and thereby improving my maths, i lost the implicit cost of feeling indebted to shuwen. i just feel very bad for taking up her time when she could just stay at home and watch her korean dramas or sth lol. i think i can never be so helpful like her cos when my sis asked me qns at home i'll always teach her very impatiently and even not wanting to teach.

yup so, for shuwen, while there's no tangible benefit from tutoring me, there's this implicit benefit of doing good and feeling good about it when you help someone? yeah and of cos, the cost here is the time and effort spent and the opp cost of tutoring me.

my sis says that i am always on the receiving end and my friends are all offering me help and she asked if i even helped anyone. i felt guilty when i said yeah.. lol. actually i think i didn't rlly helped anyone this yr. hmph.

and just when i was thinking about this while crossing the traffic lights after tuition, a cyclist dropped his wallet while cycling across the road. i picked it up and i had to like run after the damned bicycle and i had to shout unglamly, " excuse me! excuse me! stop!" in order to alert the guy lol. like a retard. and there were many ppl behind. :/

but well, at least i did something good today?

oh and, kailin wrote that i am very independent in doing things on my paper with words of appreciation from friends. when i first read it i actually agreed. like i can just study on my own and go toilet, consult etc on my own. but now that i think about it, maybe that's just being anti-social lol. in many other aspects im actually very reliant on others. like studies, i rely on my friends to teach me and remind me etc. and i always dont know what homework is there and where the lecture is at. lol. and like, pw, i asked so many people for help. math and geog, i relied on junhao and adrian. household chores! i relied on my younger sis to do practically everything. I'm a dependent. :/

i'm always grateful for all the friends that i have who are always there to support me when i have troubles. seriously i have no idea how to express my gratitude for them and all the selfless help they have rendered. why am i always so lucky to have made such worthy friends? like whenever i have problems, my friends are always around to cheer me up, even if they don't really know my problem, they'll always show that they care. thank you yizhen for always listening to my whines and asking me to take care whenever i fall sick, thank you charmian for offering truthful advices for my own good, thank you joyce for lending me a listening ear, thank you mengxuan for the htht, thank you junhao, percy, chenfan, shili for always helping me with my school work and being so funny all the time! witnessed the release of A levels results.
it was damn exciting, as if i was the one getting the results.
after the release, went to look for cherilyn in the hall and found out that she got a frigging 86.++! OMG. we were both damn high that we were jumping in the hall lolol. AAAABB is like waaaaa... proud of her. she shall be my idol for now. :D
then passed chocolates to rachael and cher. love my handmade cards. ;D

we were basically stunned that we met after how many yrs that we just waved frantically at each other for 10s and then byebye cos many ppl walking past. lol.
wed, bumped into lixian the bb boy cum ex "church friend" in sec 3 at the bus stop in the morning! he couldnt recognise me at all, even after i introduced myself lol.
and we chatted during the bus ride about his nursing course in NYP. i think nursing damn cool and weida. respect.
today! bumped into weijian the aik at mj bus stop and took the same bus as him home! we talked about school and he intro-ed me the econs tuition centre. ;D after listening to him grumble abt vj tutors and lecturers i'm pretty glad that i'm in mjc. :D

oh and not forgetting to mention that my junior ec and his friends damn noisy on the bus i feel like kiling them. it's like everyday. please stop taking the same bus as me you noisy noob asses!

kaiyuan came and joined us after his NP open house trip.
and we mostly chit chatted instead of doing work lol.
and we realised that we were sec 4 tablemates.
Adrian joined us from NP open house after that to meet kaiyuan and that's how an impromptu tablemates reunion came about.
